MacBook Pro 2008 Edition From Apple

Recently Apple has made its first update to the venerable MacBook line since the introduction of the MacBook Air.

macbook_pro_blackWhat so special for the new Macbook Pro 2008 edition?
Improved Processor(Core 2 Duo 2.5ghz), Increased memory(2GB Ram) and hard-drive storage(250GB), Updated battery life and added new touch pad(Multi-Touch trackpad) gestures from the MacBook Air.

Retaining the same Nvidia 8600M GT card the VRAM is boosted to 512MB in the top 15? and 17? models but stays at 256MB in the cheaper 15? option.

My opinions:
It costs $2,499 for just a small performance improvement with only 90 days of toll-free technical support. And yet, it still not include the SD card reader. Paying same money for more power is always welcome, but at $2,499, I still think that the cheaper 13-inch MacBook Air is a better overall value.

However, graphic designers and gamers will most likely be the ones to benefit from the new Processor and increased VRAM but thats where the benefits end in my opinion.
