Are you always wondering why is the Print Screen key exist on your keyboard but nothing appear when you press on it? Here in this article, we will guide you through proper ways of using this special key.
The Print Screen key is used to capture whatever is displayed on-screen and save it to the clipboard. After that, you can paste it anywhere in your document so that it can be displayed and printed.
To capture whatever displayed on your monitor screen:
- Press the Print Screen key on your keyboard.
- Open Paint, Microsoft Words, Microsoft Powerpoint or any other software which an image can be pasted.
- Hold Ctrl and press V, or simply right click and press paste.
- Your desired screenshot should be displayed.
To capture whatever displayed on your current window:
- When you are in the window that you want it to be captured, Hold Alt key and then press Print Screen key on your keyboard.
- Open Paint, Microsoft Words, Microsoft Powerpoint or any other software which an image can be pasted.
- Hold Ctrl and press V, or simply right click and press paste.
- Your desired screenshot should be displayed.
