How to Show Hidden Files and FoldersThis tip will be very short. I think this tip would be useful especially for those who wanted to know how to show hidden files for a while. Before we go to the steps, I would like you to know about some benefits of showing hidden files. Firstly, you can be more alert as to what is hidden in your computer. The deeper you see, the more detail you see, and the more safer your computer will be. Secondly, if you are a parent of your kids, with this “show hidden files” feature, you can see what’s hidden in your kids computer. (They are smart and they know how to hide!)

To enable “show hidden files” feature, follow the steps below. (For both Windows Vista and XP)

  • Double click My Computer.
  • Click on the Tools from the menu bar and select folder options.
  • Click on the Views tab.
  • Under Advanced Settings, select “show hidden files and folders”How to Show Hidden Files and Folders
