Redsnow (aka redsn0w) 0.9.6b5 has just released for both Windows and Mac. This release is believed to be the last and most stable version of series 0.9.6. This version is mainly targeted for iPhone 3Gs or 3G users on iOS 4.2.1 or 4.1 who rely on a carrier unlock. Redsn0w 0.9.6b5 is able to jailbreak your iPhone on iOS 4.2.1 and 4.1 and update their baseband to 06.15.00 so that your device can be unlocked using the newly released Ultrasn0w 1.2.

Redsn0w 0.9.6beta5 is now available.  It provides both Windows and Mac OS X users the ability to flash the iPad 06.15.00 baseband on iPhone3G or iPhone3GS.  It brings the baseband files directly from Apple for now. There may be some lags while doing this because their servers are getting hammer-ed right now and if you do flash your baseband via redsnow, please keep it constantly plugged into your PC via USB the whole time while you’re doing this. Your batter may die out pretty fast during the process.
