Download: Internet Explorer 9 Beta Release
Microsoft has finally released the beta version of their latest edition of IE (Internet Explorer) – IE 9. Unlike IE 8, IE 9 has a brand new graphic user interface which somewhat looks like chrome. In fact, chrome has the most effective user interface that received lots of positive feedbacks. I think this may be the reason why both IE 9 and Mozilla Firefox 4 somehow want to have the same UI.
For those of you who want to try out the new IE 9 beta right now, the offline installer is available for download in this page.
Update 29/10/2010: Before the IE9 beta release came a series of IE9 Platform Previews to give developers a look into the new browser. The Platform Previews will continue to release until the final version of IE9 is completed. Today, the sixth Platform Preview was released and can be downloaded here – http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/. This highlights changes that have been made to IE9 beta between its release and now. Graphic User Interface - Internet Explorer 9 Beta Release
The most obvious change is the complete redesign user interface. Just like chrome, the address bar and search bar are now combined as one, which means that you can search from the address bar itself. The menu bar has been removed and the tabs are on the topmost area now.

HTML 5 - Internet Explorer 9 Beta Release
Microsoft has also promised that they will deliver full support for HTML 5 - the future of the web, in Internet Explorer 9. HTML 5 is all about speed, flexibility and of course, the beauty. You can now try out some HTML 5 apps demos in the IE 9 test drive page.

Drag and Pin - Internet Explorer 9 Beta Release
This is in fact the most impressive feature in IE 9. You can now easily drag and pin any website as an app on the taskbar. For some web application like twitter for instance, when you pin twitter on the task bar you will notice IE 9’s jump list has even more shortcuts like, sending a new tweet, direct message, check for @mention, and more.

What’s shown here are just a part of the overall features of the new IE 9. In the future post, we’ll show you more extensive tips and tricks for the new IE 9.
For now, IE 9 isn’t available for Windows XP users. Current support version are only Windows 7 (32 and 64 bits) and Windows Vista (32 and 64 bits). Try out the IE 9 beta now.
