auto shutdown tipDo you always wonder how to shutdown your computer automatically? Have you ever wished you could schedule an auto shutdown at a certain time, without waiting for the virus scanning process or the CD/DVD burning process to be completed especially during the night?

If so, this tip is for you! I will show you how to auto shutdown your computer without using any software in this tip.

To schedule the shutdown process, follow the steps below:

  • Click on Windows “Start” button and hit “Run”.
  • Type shutdown.exe -s -t xxxx to the box and hit “Ok” button.
  • The value xxxx means the time in second for the computer to be switched off. For example I’ve put 1800 to the box and my computer will shutdown automatically after 1800sec(30mins).
